Say it Going Nowhere and Where it Started
performance and paintings by Laura Hunt
dress by Phyllis Ma
Saturday April 5, 7pm
Essex Flowers is pleased to present Say it Going Nowhere and Where it Started, a performance by Laura Hunt.
Hunt will perform an original script which explores the ways that speech enacts and directs the body's movement.
The dialogue juggles multiple voices, mannerisms, gestures, and tones.
Included in the performance will be three large paintings from Hunt's "Cue Card" series as well as a dress designed and made by Phyllis Ma.
Both chaotic and thoughtful, the show feels like stumbling with precision into a poem.
Live performance Saturday April 5 at 7pm.
The paintings, clothing, and remnants of the show will be on view at the gallery on Sunday April 6 from 12-6pm
