THE MOVING COMPANY AND FRIENDS: DEEP WINTER HEALINGJanuary 24, 7-8:30pm EST [ZOOM]
The Moving Company and Friends is a seasonal series of performances creating a social space and temporary community for immediate virtual connection. Each evening of performances showcases the work of artists that engage emotions and offer respite. Throughout the evening artists share short pieces that are interactive, performative, contemplative, refined, or impromptu.
The 2021 series is presented by Essex Flowers and the January show focuses on the theme: healing. In this time, when people are exploring various ways to care for themselves and others, The Moving Company is highlighting artists who create exciting and experimental works around this theme. Some of the pieces are humorous, and some are poetic, but all offer a unique perspective on healing.
The Moving Company and Friends: Deep Winter Healing is Damali Abrams, Aika Akhmetova, Jana Benitez, Zehra Khan, Le’Andra LeSeur, Lydia McCarthy, Annabel Paran and David B. Smith.
The Moving Company and Friends: Deep Winter Healing is organized by Laura Bernstein, Tamar Ettun, and Rebecca Pristoop and Co-presented with ESSEX FLOWERS and COLLECTIVE_VIEW
